Our executive director, Jennifer LaPlante has been named in the DataIQ 100, a power list of the most influential data and analytics practitioners! On receiving this recognition, Jennifer said, “Being named in the DataIQ 100 is a great honour for me and the DeepSense team. A dedicated group developed the concept of creating an AI ocean hub in Canada a number of years ago. We have been working hard to increase comprehension of AI’s potential in growing our ocean economy in Canada has been an incredible privilege. We continue to support ground-breaking artificial intelligence to help advance and grow our economy.”
Alongside her role with DeepSense, Jennifer co-founded the Halifax chapter of Women in Machine Learning and data science, growing to over 230 members to encourage women and other minorities explore AI in a safe environment.
