Rishita Kotiyal

Since my childhood, I have always been fascinated by new technologies and curious about how these technologies were getting implemented. As a result, I spent most of my time exploring the world of computers, fascinated by their potential and applications. The explorations I have had have inspired and motivated me to do something outstanding for the world through machine learning. Writing a diary and reading books are two of my favourite things to do.

MEOPAR: Marine Environmental Observation, Prediction, and Response

Areas of Interest
Machine learning, artificial intelligence

Prior to joining this project, I had no idea what the ocean or marine life was like. Although I have always seen drifters floating above the water, I had no idea what they do. Now that I have worked on this project, I am aware of what drifters are and how they capture the data. Additionally, the data they gather can be extremely useful not just for measuring ocean currents, but also for predicting an oil spill and saving hundreds of lives.”
