Ibrahim Oguntola

My name is Ibrahim and I am doing my master's program in Industrial Engineering at Dalhousie University. I have an interest in using machine learning to solve problems. I am fascinated with the concept of training machines/computers with data which can be used to create solutions. In my free time, I watch videos on YouTube about the works of different people in the field of Data Science. This helps me to widen my scope of thought and brings out new concepts for me to work on.

“I have seen a lot of potential applications of machine learning to solve problems or create solutions that enhance processes within the ocean industry. For example, this project focused on the use of computer vision within the lobster harvesting context. This could however easily be expanded into other sectors of the ocean industry. I look forward to widening my knowledge and would not mind starting a career within the ocean sector.”
