I am Pallavi, a Master's of Information Management student at Dalhousie University. I also hold second master’s in computer science from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India. I have almost 10 years of experience as an Assistant Professor and Product Support Engineer. I've always been fascinated by social media and analyzing social data. My major research area is machine learning, natural language processing and social media.

“I’ve always aimed to work in the ocean sector due to the broad variety of data available. I became interested in ocean data when I was first introduced to new API’s and NLP algorithms for data analyses through Twitter. Although I don’t have experience in the ocean sector, I am confident that this will be a sector I will continue to be a part of for the future.”
